Design capabilities
Giro Engineering is recognised worldwide as an authority on the design and development of sheathed and conventional fuel injection pipes for the marine, power generation and transportation industries from the simplest single cylinder engine to the complexities of the modern day common rail systems.
We have a long established track record for quality of design, reliability and a high standard of service. With the heritage of 40+ years of successful pipe design, Giro has the experience, tools and personnel to ensure success on each and every project. Our design team consists of highly experienced and qualified personnel that have a proven track record of delivering quality solutions to clients’ requirements, on time and to budget.
Production
Using the experience gained over the last 40+ years our capacity has been developed to meet the varied demands of our customers. We now have the capability to manufacture sheathed and unsheathed fuel pipe assemblies from 6 mm outside diameter up to 30 mm outside diameter.
Our sheathed fuel systems can be made to the finest tolerances for a guaranteed fit; using our closed loop coordinate measuring system. We operate full CNC uni-directional, and for more complex shapes, bi-directional bending machines, allowing us to maintain the high quality and precision that our customers demand.
Our capability to produce end connections ranges from cold forging through to hot forging and thread rolling. This combined with a never-ending attention to detail ensures customer satisfaction no matter what the demand.
Fuel Injection Pipes
Giro produce high-pressure fuel injection pipes for high, medium and low-speed engines and of course Common rail engines. Our product range covers more than 1,000 engine types, our key component is the “Duoline” sheathed fuel injection pipe.
We also offer visual leak indication fittings and our proven liquid level alarm tank. Our standard range of premium quality high-pressure tubing covers bore sizes from Ø 1.4mm to Ø 10mm..
Common Rail Injection Systems
Modern high-pressure common rail systems that require double wall fuel pipes can also require common rail shielding to satisfy class societies. Giro is well equipped to cater for both these higher pressures and shielding designs through castings and fabrication.
