Digital Genset Control
Generator management systems from HEINZMANN and REGULATEURS EUROPA are based on HEINZMANN's digital governors. In addition to the tried-and-tested THESEUS and Viking35 systems, the new XIOSGenSet governor is an all-rounder suitable for all generator systems, as it combines all the relevant advantages of combustion engine governors and generator governors.
The system can be fitted in control cabinets in accordance with industrial standards, and can include PLC controllers, HMI user interfaces, integrated speed control and numerous other functions. Communication can take place via numerous interfaces using different protocols.
Setting and Operation
The HEINZMANN XIOSCHP solution provides an easy-to-use CHP control which is complemented by a user-friendly HMI, allowing an intuitive and comfortable operation. For advanced system access, HEINZMANN’s service and parametrisation tools, DcDesk and the dongle.free HEINZMANN Configuration Suite, can be used.

CHP Control XIOSCHP
As a long established system supplier of engine management solutions for combustion engines in the industrial field, HEINZMANN has a range of reliable controllers which are widely successful in different applications from power generation to marine propulsion. The newly developed and extensively tested CHP control unit for gas engines combines all the benefits of the HEINZMANN control systems into a compact, integrated solution. This provides reliable usage for heat and electricity power whether in mainsparallel or island operation.
Rail Traction Applications
With HEINZMANN and REGULATEURS EUROPA, the corporate group includes two long-standing specialists for control of propulsion engines in rail traction applications. System Functions
The newly developed and extensively tested CHP control unit for gas engines combines all the benefi ts of the HEINZMANN control systems: Engine, generator, CHP and heat management as well as various monitoring functions are integrated in one central control unit. XIOSCHP ensures full control of the CHP system.
Depending on customer requirements, three versions of XIOSCHP with increasing functionality are available: BASIC, MEDIUM, EXTENDED. Depending on the version, the engine management includes functions from pure speed control and mixture control to ignition control and knock control or engine monitoring with a data logger.
I/O Range
The flexible XIOS basic hardware allows individual system combinations adapted to customers’ needs. Depending on the requirements of the respective CHP control system, HEINZMANN offers XIOSI/O units of varying scope that are tailored to the XIOSCHP system sizes BASIC, MEDIUM or EXTENDED. The modular construction of these units enables extended modules and additional units to be selected so that additional control functions and numerous I/Os can be used. Inputs and outputs can be defined for specific applications, as the XIOSI/O unit can be expanded by additional I/O modules.
System Information
The XIOSCHP control system is available in three versions with different functional ranges. XIOSCHP BASIC offers all essential functionalities of a CHP control, XIOSCHP MEDIUM fulfills the increased requirements of a modern CHP control and XIOSCHP EXTENDED offers comprehensive functions and I/Os for extended and multiple systems.
