Hello, I’m Mike Corona. I’ve been a trainer at HEINZMANN since December 2019, and since December 2023, I’ve also been setting up the production equipment construction division. I originally come from the small village of Aitern, where there are more cows than people.
I completed my apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic for plant engineering not far from here. After spending several years at HELLA, including an exciting assignment in Mexico, I found my way back to the Black Forest and to HEINZMANN.
At HEINZMANN, I’m fortunate to combine my passion for craftsmanship with training young talent. One of our most outstanding projects was a test bench built entirely by our apprentices. Frau Rümmele and Herr Irenfeld, both of whom achieved excellent results, developed and implemented this test bench independently in their third year of training.
HEINZMANN is a company that values quality and precision. Among other things, we specialise in manufacturing components for various engines and electric motors, always focusing on innovative solutions—many of which are shaped by our apprentices. Sometimes, when I walk through the company, I see projects and work everywhere that have been completed by our apprentices.
At HEINZMANN, we are a strong team, with close connections even outside of work. We share many moments together, whether it’s barbecuing, hiking, or other group activities. In my free time, I love tinkering and can hardly walk past a car without hearing what’s wrong with it. At home, I spend a lot of time working on my tuned Skoda or improving things around the house. Even though I’m hopeless with computers—that’s my sister’s area of expertise—I feel completely at home in the world of mechanics.
I take great pride in seeing my apprentices grow beyond their limits, developing not only their technical skills but also personally throughout their training. The moment they pass their exams, or when they stop by for a coffee years later, reassures me that my slightly strict but warm-hearted approach has made an impact.
For me, working at HEINZMANN means not just passing on knowledge, but also preparing young people for life.
